I run a YouTube channel about old Flash games, and I built YapJitsu to do my part in preserving this era of the internet. These rules exist so the site can stay online and stay fun. Using the site means you agree to them.
What's totally fine
Swearing, arguing, being weird, dark humour, shitposting, bad takes.
Fan art, memes, screenshots, sprites, music you made, games you made.
Talking about games, developers, your playthroughs, your grudges from 2006.
Drawn or animated adult material in the Media section. Real-person nudity is not allowed.
Criticism of the site. Just don't be a menace about it.
What gets you removed
Other people's work passed off as yours. Don't upload paid games, full movies, albums or someone else's art and claim it. Linking, discussing and crediting the original creator is fine; that's how archives survive.
Impersonation. Don't pretend to be another member, a game's developer, staff, or anyone who isn't you.
Harassment. No targeting, stalking, threats, dogpiling, spamming someone's posts, or leaking where someone lives. Arguing with someone is fine; hunting them is not.
Hate speech. Slurs are blocked automatically and the account goes.
Any illicit content involving minors. This is never acceptable under any circumstances. It means an instant permanent ban and will be reported to the proper authorities.
Private information. No real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails or accounts that aren't yours.
Malware and scams. No rigged download links, cryptominers, phishing, or ad spam.
Abusing bugs to break the site, wipe someone's saves, or get someone's password.
The boring legal bits
You have to be at least 18 to make an account.
Your account is yours. Email us and we'll delete it and everything attached to it.
The games, characters and music here belong to whoever originally made them. YapJitsu doesn't own them and isn't claiming to.
The site is provided as-is, no warranty, no promises it'll be online forever. If a save disappears, we'll try to help, but we can't.
Original creators: if something here shouldn't be, email yapjitsu1@gmail.com and it comes down. No lawyers needed.
